Stage Lighting

If your show is after dark or inside you probably need stage lighting. The least expensive is 500 watt floods (always on) with color gel holders that can be clipped to structure or mounted on top of speakers with Velcro poles. The next step up is controlled PAR38 small floods with remote dimmer control.

The most widely used lights are four to a rack 500 watt floods matched with 600 watt PAR64 lamps with pole mounted 4 channel dimmer packs. They have colors of gold, red, blue, and surprise pink (enhances skin tones). Each tree of four lights needs its own 20a power circuit. All are controlled (Dim and Chase) with 16 channel DMX controllers. The configuration pictured at right uses flood racks for stage side and PAR lamps back from the stage to let color spread out. This configuration can be easily mounted to tent poles which eliminates tripod stands for a cleaner lighting installation.

The newest lights are PAR64 LED Pro lights. They throw intense color, controlled with true RGB color mixing. They are low power consumption drawing only .2 amps each. That is 30 watts compared to 600 watt for PAR64 incadesent lamps,
